New Cerebral Palsy Study

Julia Busik and Nigel Paneth both professors at Michigan State University recently received a $ 1.9 million grant to study cerebral palsy.

The study is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and may help to uncover some of the causes of cerebral palsy in-utero.

The professors plan to investigate blood samples of 200 children with cerebral palsy and 200 without cerebral palsy in an attempt to devise a method of preventing cerebral palsy in newborns.
